No longer is the kitchen simply a space for preparing food. Modern day life has seen its evolution into a fully livable space, where we eat, drink, work, and socialise.
For 2026, the biggest kitchen trend is ensuring that our space works hard to meet the requirements of modern lifestyles.
Trends
Pantries continue to be big news over the coming year. They create a functional space to house everyday necessities.
Counter-splash backs are also on-trend for 2026. These create a seamless surface between the walls and the countertops, adding to a feel of a calm and clean finish.
When it comes to a kitchen colour palette, warm neutral tones and earthy hues are trending. They create a calm space with an open and airy atmosphere.
Natural materials are popular for the year ahead. Wooden cabinets or countertops, together with stone floors or exposed brick, all help to create a sense of simplicity.
