When the age of 13 is reached the child in question is seen as coming of age and has to take on more responsibility for themselves and their family. It is a big celebration at the synagogue and there is a big party to welcome the change. Everyone sends Bar Mitzvah Cards. If you want to join in the celebration then Bar Mitzvah Cards from Cazenove Judaica is one way that you can.

Its closeness to the celebration of Christmas is partly why it is enjoyed by so many Jews in Christian countries
  2. Passover. This is a celebration dedicated to the Jews liberation from Egypt and their subsequent flight across the Red Sea and desert to find Israel.
